Communications Executive – 12-month contract

Our superstar Communications Executive is taking parental leave soon creating an opportunity for another star to join our team for 12-months. They’re big shoes to fill within a fun and creative team.

The role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager and joins a team of seven stellar marketers and designers. You’ll be responsible for amplifying our messages to a number of audiences, planning communications programmes as well as working closely with the wider marcomms team to ensure coordinated execution of Competenz’s marketing campaigns and initiatives. A key focus of this role will be the ability to craft content – photos, video, and editorial content – for sharing across multiple platforms, managing our social media, as well as managing our PR (through agency)and internal communications as needed. Your natural ability to build relationships and to actively seek opportunities that support and promote industry training will shine through.

We are a tight team who know our goals for the year ahead, and while we each have our respective responsibilities, we pitch in to support each other to be successful.

What skills you will you bring:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a content creation environment, preferably with communications at the core of previous roles
  • A degree in journalism, communications or marketing
  • Confidence in your ability to build relationships quickly across many levels
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications and a flair for story telling
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute communications plans and a passion for social media
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of education or training industry beneficial
  • A portfolio of samples or work case studies showcasing your skills and experience
