Field Operator

Our client are one of the largest International Energy Companies and are currently seeking Field Operators to join their Wellington team to assist with the operations of their Lower Hutt terminal.

This company has been established within in the New Zealand market for over 120 years and has several terminals all over the country. This specific Terminal supplys over 100 million litres of refined products.  

You’ll be a key part of the operations team to ensure the terminal can run efficiently, reliably, safely and cost effectively.

Role responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain and support a high level of Terminal Housekeeping, including general housekeeping
  • Dipping of tanks as required and manage site interface tanks and reinjection
  • Monitoring of underground slops tanks and storm water management including Interceptor monitoring
  • Product Quality testing (density and temperature) and storing of samples per requirements
  • Assisting with commissioning new equipment/systems
  • Issue permits under the work control procedures and tier one best practices
  • Utilise LPS Tools and drive increased effectiveness
We’re ideally seeking for the following attributes:
  • Preferably experience in understanding terminal assets and product movement
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High standard of Safety and Safety and promote a work safe culture
  • Good Mechanical aptitude and the ability to adhere to systems and processes
  • Can do attitude looking to grow within the role and organisation
  • Works well in a team environment
