General Manager

This New Zealand owned business are looking for a General Manager to join their successful and growing business. This is a newly created position where you can really make the role your own.

The General Manager will need to possess a strong mix of leadership and strategic thinking skills to enable this business to continue to grow and expand across their markets. This person will be responsible for all operational functions of the business and have the ability to confidently present accurate and thorough financial and business information, and ideas on process improvement to the Strategic Leadership Team.

Duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Assisting the Strategic Leadership Team with the development and implementation of the Companies Strategic Plan
  • Management of all staff including all facets of Human Resources and team development
  • Ensuring the overall delivery and quality of this businesses service to Clients is to a high standard
  • Assisting with Management and Financial reporting
  • Assisting with the development and execution of their marketing plan
  • Workflow Management for current and potential projects
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing policies and procedures around Risk Management and Health and Safety

Key Requirements:

  • Strong business acumen supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or work experience ideally 3 + years
  • Sound knowledge and a good understanding of corporate services functions within a business including human resources, information systems, finance and administration
  • The ability to work auto autonomously
  • Proven experience in working strategically and executing Company business plans
  • Experience within a distribution or export environment would be a benefit
