Committee Advisor (Six Month Fixed Term)

About us

The Bay of Plenty Regional Council is responsible for land, air and water as well as public transport and economic development. A major focus of our work involves looking after the environment. We manage the effects of people’s use of freshwater, land, air and coastal water. However, we also have a broader responsibility with others for the economic, social and cultural well-being of the regional community. We have a reputation for looking after our people.

The Role

As the Committee Advisor reporting to the Governance Manager you will; 

  • Organise and co-ordinate meetings, along with preparing agendas 
  • Minute taking
  • Support governance administration processes
  • Compilation of Minute Books

The skills and personal attributes we are looking for are:  

  • Strong organisation and co-ordination skills
  • High level written communication skills
  • Can do positive attitude
  • A full drivers licence & eligibility to work in NZ is required

 You will have held high level administration roles, and have a track record in meetings management, planning and skills that demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality, judgement and discretion.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organised, reporting and contributing to the effectiveness of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
