Programme Scheduler

New Plymouth/Tauranga

Here at Powerco, we're busy keeping the lights on and gas flowing to more than 430,000 homes, businesses and organisations across the North Island. If you're an experienced programme scheduler or resource planner looking for a new challenge, it's time to join the fast-paced, exciting company that powers NZ's longest electricity network.

A lot goes into keeping the widespread network of Powerco customers switched on. There is a vast range of components that make up the programme that ensures electricity supply continuity and project success across our network, which is why we need pretty switched on people. Right now, we're after one such person to join our high-performing Electricity Operations team. Based in either New Plymouth or Tauranga, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work for a large and successful company - sound good?

You will develop and help manage the electricity works programme that optimises the timing of projects, the availability of resources and the requirements of the works plan (from the Planning team). A key function of the role is to collaborate, communicate and negotiate programme/project timing, regional resource requirements, and consenting/property requirements (over a one-to-three year horizon) between the key stakeholders to maximise productivity (i.e. minimise resource constraints) while delivering the works plan to meet the Planning team requirements.

This role provides an opportunity for you to join a company going through an exciting growth stage; our ideal candidate will be comfortable with helping to develop and embed good practices and processes.

Your background in planning, scheduling and or programme, project management, coupled with strong analytical skills, will put you in good stead to hit the ground running in this role.

You'll hold a Bachelors Degree and ideally have at least three years relevant experience.

Please see the position description for full details, roles and responsibilities of this role.

Applications close on Sunday, 24 February 2019.
