This role is located in Christchurch.  Our preferred candidate will either live locally or relocate for this role.

 

Argus Heating Ltd is a leading specialist in electrical heating element design and manufacture for over 50 years, providing bulk container heating solutions to industrial and commercial clients across the world as well as domestic industrial heating elements. Argus Heating is a company focused on quality and continuous improvement, proudly manufacturing in Christchurch and employing 70 team members. The Role 

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the commercial, finance and IT functions helping to strategically drive the business forward. You will ensure the integrity and efficiency of all financial functions within the business leading financial and risk management as well as supporting the business in evaluating, advising on, developing and executing new business opportunities. In addition, you will support the CEO,  Board and leadership team by producing robust commercial analysis for the business to increase manufacturing and sales optimisation.

 

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role you will ideally be CA Qualified with proven experience in a financial management position. You will have a successful track record ideally within a manufacturing or similar environment and the ability to bring the numbers alive allowing the business to make informed strategic decisions. Additionally, an entrepreneurial approach and a passion to lead and develop a small team along with a hands on approach will be essential in this role.
