Are you an experienced HR or ER professional and have a qualification in law, employment relations or human resources? Or a large amount of employment legislation and compliance experience acquired through experience in a previous role?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with intermediate or advanced knowledge in employment relations and HR to join our friendly and supportive team at the Restaurant Association.

The Restaurant Association is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused person, with excellent listening and problem-solving skills, who wishes to be part of the Restaurants Association Helpline team.  We assist our members with a wide range of topics, including employment relations, health & safety, human resources and other areas of compliance.

Being an employer focused membership organisation, the Restaurant Association has a diverse range of services and resources available for our members. The person we are looking for will have the ability to research, a thorough understanding of the employment law in New Zealand and knowledge about or willingness to learn about other areas relevant to hospitality business owners in order to assist in answering our busy helpline and developing our resources.

Knowledge of the Food Act, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act would be a bonus. A professional manner is essential for this mainly telephone based role, however, there are many opportunities to meet members face to face as well so an ability to communicate well in person is also important.
