HR Coordinator - NZAU

Located in our global Head Office in Ponsonby, Auckland you will work closely with the HR Partner – NZAU, the Global Talent Scout and the wider Global HR team. You will primarily be responsible for supporting the Icebreaker managers and teams based in NZ and AU with HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle and using our HR system, Workday.  This includes but is not limited to the set up of positions and job advertisements, processing of job offers, generation of letters of offer and variation, and the coordination of the onboarding process to ensure our new hires are set up for success. Sounds busy and it will be!! But we have fun too.

You will also support the delivery of other regional and global HR initiatives and processes, including the One VF HR programmes designed to harmonise and align Icebreaker to our parent company, VF Corp, and the coordination associated with our execution against our Global L&D plan and training programmes.

In this role, you will be exposed to the full suite of HR functions and develop your understanding of HR policy, process and local NZ and AU Employment Law.  It will be your responsibility to build strong relationships both within the Icebreaker HR team and wider VF HR team and coordinate with the different speciality areas to ensure outcomes are delivered accurately and on time. Sounds wonderful and it is. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

What your CV says about you:

  • 2-3 years HR Administration/ Coordinator Experience
  • Foundation knowledge of NZ (and ideally AU) employment law
  • Experience working with HR systems – we use Workday!
  • Exposure to recruitment and employment agreement generation
  • Advanced MS Office skills in Excel and Word 
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Exceptional organization, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Success in a fast-paced work environment
