The Company

We Are Tenzing started two years ago, founded by Dr Sam Hazledine, Adam Thomson and Derek Handley and is managed by CEO Brooke Howard-Smith. The Founders, CEO and other members of the team are themselves exceptional people from entrepreneurs to professional sports people, which means that they really understand how to “look after business” for people in the spotlight.

The team are focused on providing a unique and intimate service for high profile clients within the sports, business and entertainment industry.

The organisation provides a complete profile management service to their clients in a myriad of industries, this includes;

  • Contract Negotiation & overseas contract opportunities
  • PR, Sponsorship and Brand Management
  • Event Management
  • Post Career Planning
  • Financial Planning & Coaching
  • Client Welfare
  • Industrial relationships and liaison

The Job

We are looking for a seasoned Operations Manager or someone who has all the skills that we need and is ready to undertake this challenging role working with a bunch of exceptional people. You will be willing to prove yourself in this high profile and fast paced environment and be confident in your ability to deliver both in terms of support for the team and outcomes for the organisation.

You will be an extraordinarily organised individual with good all round operational skills and the ability to support the CEO in the general management of the organisation from financial management, HR and process management and reporting.

You will be a collaborative team player with the ability to support a small team of exceptional people who are passionate about what they do which will release time for the CEO to focus on business development and networking. You will be targeted to ensure the very best outcomes for clients as well as ensuring efficiency, productivity and profitability.

You will be proficient at producing revenue forecasts and implementing targets/KPI’s for individual team members as well as the ability to produce and report on profit and loss.

 

You will have experience in financial management preferably with Xero as this is used to manage the financial aspects of the business and have previously worked with external accountancy firms to oversee monthly and annual tax affairs.

Responsibilities & Associated Skills Required

  • Collaborative wok style
  • Consistent support to the CEO on all general business aspects
  • Organisation of the office and its day to day operational functions from A to Z
  • Financial acumen and the ability to oversee incoming and outgoing invoicing
  • Experience in using Xero accounting software for monthly reconciliation advantageous
  • Management of suppliers and cost analysis
  • Experience in customer satisfaction, obtaining client feedback and actioning resolutions to issues as they arise
  • Producing realistic forecasting for the business and P&L management
  • Outcome driven approach to business without sacrificing on service
  • An entrepreneurial flair and an appetite for success and risk in this start-up environment
