Business Analyst - MBovis - Hamilton or Christchurch

The opportunity

We are seeking an Business Analyst for a 21 month (until November 2020), fixed-term role to assist with the eradication of the cattle disease Mycoplasma bovis. You will be working as part of a diverse team seeking to eradicate Mycoplasma Bovis from the dairy and beef industries across New Zealand. The role has an operational focus and will assist in developing our operational data and information sets for management.

AsureQuality has been contracted by the Ministry for Primary Industries to implement all operational tasks associated with eradicating the disease. A new business unit has been established and operations are implemented via four regional offices. We are now seeking someone to ensure that service delivery targets are being met across all regions, and that the appropriate resources are in place. Working with the Operations, Technical and Compliance Managers, you will be developing reporting systems for the field operations, sizing up specification changes, providing monthly reports and assisting with resource supply and demand modelling.

About you

Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in commerce or senior management, with proven managerial experience. You will be knowledgeable in people management and employee relations also. You will have experience in scenario planning or workload assessment and be proficient in data analysis. Previous experience with Primary Industries and an understanding of the dairy or beef industries would give you a distinct advantage.
