About the business

The Wairarapa Times-Age puts out six daily newspapers per week (Monday to Saturday), and features a small but dynamic newsroom dedicated to producing local content.

About the role

Working out of our Masterton office you will have the opportunity to further your experience in all aspects of reporting and writing – news, features, profiles etc.
We are looking for a self-motivated journalist who is full of ideas, well organised, able to meet daily deadlines yet work towards the weekend edition.
Preference will be given to a journalist who writes every story like it's going on the front page, and can produce entertaining, low-error copy.
In return you'll be part of a cohesive, supportive team, where your development and success will be our priority.
We're an independent, locally-owned company, so there's never been a more exciting time to join the Times-Age.
A mid-February start is available.

Skills and experience

You will have journalism experience or have recently graduated from a recognised course.  
You will need a full driver's licence.
???????Photographic skills are needed.
