Executive Divisional Contracting Manager

Who are we looking for?

Due to Fulton Hogan’s ongoing growth within the Auckland Region and internal promotion, we are looking for an Executive Divisional Contracting Manager to join our team and deliver the Good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

 

The job

With full operational responsibility for the successful management and delivery of multiple construction projects within the region, this opportunity offers the chance to be a senior leader in the Fulton Hogan Auckland team and lead the division through further growth and the changes this brings to ensure continued future success.  

 

The position

  • Be an active and inspiring leader of the Auckland Contracting business.
  • Be an active and inspiring member of the Auckland Senior Leadership team.
  • Build strong compelling relationships with Clients, providing a proactive and consistent level of service.
  • Liaise and build relationships with local authorities and statutory undertakers, External and Internal clients.
  • Responsible for leading the Fulton Hogan Living Safely values to allocated projects, in conjunction with the HSQE Manager.
  • Provide technical and practical input to tender processes and documentation at pre-construction and design phase.
  • Responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of all contracts acting as an enabler to ensure the successful delivery of designated projects in the region.
  • Effective and timely engagement of resource ensuring that the optimum numbers of personnel are on-site when required in conjunction with all Fulton Hogan departments.
  • To deliver exceptional work through your passion for the industry and the people around you.

 

Experience and attributes;

  • Proven leader of high performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at various levels building strong, compelling relationships both externally and internally.
  • Strong proven background within civil infrastructure, with extensive Contracting experience.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of a broad range of contract delivery models.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Solutions provider with proven negotiation experience.
  • Proven experience of implementing and raising awareness of Health and Safety across sites.
  • Proactive, organised and hands on approach with the ability to work well as a team and on own initiative.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing a high level of customer service.
  • Awareness of continuous improvement, and the ability to continually develop efficiency improvements within scope.
  • Involvement and contribution in successful complex tender submissions
  • Preferably CPEng or suitable equivalent.
