  • If you love children’s books, you will love working for Scholastic.
  • Join us and help us create lifelong readers.

An iconic brand in children’s publishing, education and media, Scholastic has a long and rich history helping children read more, learn more and lead better lives as a result of what we do. We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Manager in our small but dynamic Book Fairs warehouse.

Based in Christchurch, this busy hands-on role is responsible for providing efficient and accurate fulfillment and delivery of Book Fairs to schools across the New Zealand South Island.

With operations that are aligned to school terms the role is typically impacted by 8 weeks of annual shutdown across the year (School Holidays).

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will ensure and maintain a high level of service to both our internal and external customers. Reporting into the Head Office in Auckland, this role requires you to work autonomously using your initiative to solve daily challenges and manage priorities.

In managing the day to day operation, you role will range from physically moving and packing stock, coordinating deliveries to managing inventory and reporting.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Sound knowledge of warehousing and stock management
  • A customer centered approach and well-rounded business knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to multi-task, juggle priorities while keeping your sense of humour
  • The initiative and drive to constantly improve and streamline processes
  • Computer literacy

If you enjoy working predominately on your own in a sole charge environment, being hands on and want to work in a small yet dynamic warehouse where your contribution will be valued, this is the position for you!

Confidential applications should be forwarded to hr@scholastic.com.au
