About Us
We have a strong history and a strong commitment to providing quality new home for New Zealanders as one of New Zealand's leading residential developers and builders.  The Fletcher Residential and Land Development division has been an integral part of the Fletcher Building family for over 100 years.

Today's housing market is in a dynamic space and we are growing significantly, we are experiencing growth year on year and are projected to build even greater volumes over the coming years.  We are continually looking to improve on productivity and build more homes for all of New Zealand while making sure that the Fletcher Living quality is maintained.

We have successfully trialled 2 panelised duplexes last year and recently undertook New Zealand’s first quick build of five panelised terraced homes.

Due to this innovation we will be building our own Panelisation Plant in Wiri and looking to recruit for all levels of roles within the plant.

The Role
Production Supervisor  - this is a newly created role, so there is so much scope and opportunity to add value here!  The roles provides leadership and direction for the day to day manufacturing activities in our panelisation plant.  The role reports through to our Plant Manager, but you’ll have 4 direct reports.

  • Based in our Panelisation Plant, Wiri
  • Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Salary plus performance related bonus, plus many employee benefits are on offer, because we are also part of the Fletcher Building group of companies.
  • Convenient Manukau location (Cavendish Drive)
About You
The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Strong leadership / people management experience, with practical experience in the areas of recruiting, employee relationships / disciplinary and performance management, would be highly regarded, although we have a very experienced Plant Manager and a dedicated HR & Recruitment resource to assist and support you.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, where you have operated a plant or factory that is similar in size and complexity (this plant will have PLC machinery).
  • A qualification in competitive manufacturing or engineering would be highly desirable
  • Must possess the ability to assess situations and make sound and logical decisions
  • Strong communication skills with a consultative approach as you will be dealing with all types of stakeholders within the plant
  • Good computer literacy and an ability to pick up or learn new systems and software
  • Willingness to listen and learn from others
As this is a new plant, with new equipment and new staff, it is imperative that you have the ability to adapt to changing situations and timelines and not be rattled by the changing goal posts that come with a new start up business.

Why Join Us
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a plant that will have state of the art technology and equipment and we’ll be producing housing components that are going to make a significant difference to construction and completion of our Fletcher Living houses.  We are wanting to create a great culture within our plant and every single person we recruit is going to be a part of creating a high performing & inclusive culture.
