Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary institutions, and has a vision of whānau transformation through education. They offer a comprehensive range of certificate through to post-graduate level qualifications to New Zealanders of all ages & walks of life in a unique learning environment. Each year more than 30,000 people learn with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa across the country, with 96 per cent of their students recommending them as a place to study.

 
In this new senior management role you will lead a talented team of specialists responsible for communications, brand & advertising, creative content & design and digital marketing services.

 
With a focus on helping set the overall strategic direction of their brand, you will develop a communications strategy that aligns to their organisational objectives and improves engagement and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 
You will also manage plans that grow brand metrics, and ensure that the organisation achieves annual student enrolment targets. In so doing, there will be a strong focus on using customer insights, digital channels and effective marketing and PR campaigns, and collaborating with colleagues and teams throughout the Wānanga and external partners.

 
You will be a proven senior leader with experience across the marcomms mix. You’ll be a fantastic communicator & influencer and be adept at building relationships. You’ll be comfortable in an āhuatanga Māori environment and be motivated to further develop your understanding of te reo and tikanga Māori.
