National Supply Chain Manager NZ

 

GWF is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers employing around 6,000 people across 60 sites. Reporting to the GM Operations New Zealand, this role is responsible for defining and delivering a customer centric supply chain strategy that delivers on Tip Top’s value proposition to our Customers as well as continuous improvement in end to end value chain efficiency.

 

The scope of the role includes; supply chain & network planning; logistics solutions across Tip Top New Zealand; and strategic supply chain support of the Tip Top ANZ business.  Accountabilities include Safety / Cost / Quality / Engagement. 

 

Success  will be primarily  measured  via  your leadership  to develop  a  culture  of SAFE  DIFOT across  our NZ  supply chain.

 

This is a highly collaborative role that requires an experienced leader who can proactively develop effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

 

  • A strong health and safety focus with experience mitigating threat to life risks related to Supply Chain (i.e Fatigue and Traffic Management), Including chain of responsibility (CoR)
  • National logistics / distribution expertise with “daily fresh” produce (short shelf life products) including  cold chain compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of transport and national road compliance rules and regulations.
  • Minimum 10 years in a management role preferably gained within Supply Chain functions of an FMCG environment
  • Experienced in managing virtual teams; can develop self and the team
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to scope, plan and manage large scale, complex projects and programs of work
  • Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
  • In-depth knowledge of Network analysis tools, Planning, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Distribution, Contracts/Agreements
  • Experience with ERP/TMS/WMS systems
  • Proven leadership, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to coach and mentor people effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to influence others
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, strong strategic business partnering expertise and a keen sense of leading and motivating others to drive successful outcomes
