The Opportunity

We are looking for a Service Technician for our Fire Equipment Division covering the Wellington region. The position involves the servicing and sales of fire extinguishers and other fire equipment for all our clients in the region.

We provide our Service Technicians with the best equipment and training and a Vehicle to use from their home. You will receive monthly servicing requirements from all our clients in the region and help planning the most effective routes to carry out your role. The territory has had a well-liked and respected technician for years who is now retiring from Wormald so you will be inheriting a strong business with lots of opportunity to grow from the reputation we have developed.

Who are we looking for?

In this role we need someone who is practical and has a strong customer service and sales ethic.

You will be servicing and installing equipment so you need to be able to carry out minor installations with a high level of attention to detail as everything we install is both vital safety equipment and also proudly carries our name.

You meet all of our clients face to face at their business premises so you need to have strong customer service skills and be able to clearly communicate why our equipment is required and what the servicing needs are.

You are also one of our key sales resources, you are out there on the ground and we need you to be able to identify and visit new businesses to offer our services. The role has a strong commission structure and most of our Service Technicians achieve an attractive addition to their base salary.
