Mechanical Site Engineer

Brian Perry Civil is a leading and award-winning New Zealand contractor. As part of the overall Fletcher Building Group, we undertake a wide range of civil construction projects throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific, with specialties in foundations, ground engineering and civil structures.

Due to a growing forward workload, we are seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to join our Auckland based project team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Engineer with at least 2 years experience to work on a range of projects across Auckland. 

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • An understanding of engineering concepts, construction planning, and construction quality assurance
  • At least 2 years of experience in a construction based role or similar
Role Responsibilities:
  • Participates in regular site team meetings to ensure communication and collaboration across the team in delivering on the project objectives. 
  • Understands the contract drawings and specification in detail to ensure the onsite implementation meets these requirements 
  • Assists in the development of detailed work plan, Inspection Test Plan and JSEA documentation
  • Conducts any quality assurance testing, site inspection, site setout and level checking as necessary. 
  • Understands and implements the BPC Management Systems including the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Manuals, Procedures and Guidelines.
