Team Leader - Lines

NETcon are looking for a talented and outcome focused person to fill the role of Team Leader - Lines and be part of our diverse Timaru-based team.

What's involved

You will need to be an effective leader, working with a close team to deliver outcomes in full on time and within budget, through effective coordination and control of assigned resources.

Essential for this role is the knowledge of the Electricity Safety Regulations and SM-El, knowledge of the Electricity Industry Participation Code (as they relate to distribution companies) would be an advantage.

To be successful your qualifications and experience will include:

  • Line Mechanic Distribution Registration
  • Current Practicing Licence
  • Health and Safety knowledge with formal training
  • a licence to work on the Network (Entry Approval Certificate)
  • knowledge of traffic management planning and industry best practice work methods
  • ideally five to six years' relevant industry experience
  • managing job budgets.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • The willingness to participate and take on responsibilities
  • The ability to deal with a wide range of people, demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of others
  • Dedication to get results and have a willingness to accept responsibility
  • The ability to perform under pressure and adapt well to changing conditions
