Technology Specialist | Te Manawa - Westgate

He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Opening around the end of March 2019, Te Manawa will deliver a seamless and integrated service for customers to access library services, creative facilities, community programmes, bookable spaces and customer services, all under one roof.

In this role you will be the first point of contact for technology related queries from staff, while maintaining a high standard of technical service and support to customers. You’ll also assist the Operations Lead with facility management, such as security systems and plant for the site along with caretaking a range of digital and AV equipment and software. You’ll act as a key liaison between ICT, Libraries and other areas of Council to keep updated on technical changes and opportunities.

It goes without saying that you embrace new technology and are tech-savvy, coupled with the ability to explain technical terms in a simple and easy way to a range of customers with diverse backgrounds. 

You’ll have experience in a face to face customer service role, ideally delivering services, supporting digital programmes or technical support. You’ll ideally have experience in the maintenance and ongoing support of library systems. You'll also be familiar with building access systems and venue technical equipment, which may include AV equipment and other technologies.
