Job Role - Desktop Support Engineer

Duration- Full Term Permanent

Location - Avondale, Auckland

Job Summary-

 An opportunity now exists within IT for an experienced professional to lead a team of desktop support representatives and ensure the proper day-to-day operation of technology applications and equipment. The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting 1st to 3rd level desktop issues for a variety of systems, including, but not limited to: Hardware, Microsoft Office products, network connectivity, VoIP, AV, Internet access, VPN client, file and server access, and printers. Qualified candidates will be able to assist less experienced peers. Typically requires 4 - 5 years of experience.

 

Job Requirements:

Level -1

Good understanding of Desktop/Laptop/Printer, Strong customer/people service skills, Windows operating systems and common off the shelf software such as MS office, Email Client, windows networking configurations, Device Encryption, working network level understanding, print queue understanding, AD basic/intermediate understanding, Application installation & Config, Image installation & config, Hardware Break fix, good grasp of Mobile and Handheld devices such as android and IOS Tablets configuration and navigation with 3 years min IT experience

Level-2

 As above but with intermediate to advanced understanding and setup ability in all same areas and including the ability to carry out some system administrator duties on AD, Print queues. Scripts, backup jobs & queues, LAN/WAN experience, Understanding of Server devices, troubleshooting problems to resolution - 4 - 6 years’ experience
