Territory Sales Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY
MSD Animal Health has an opportunity for a Livestock Territory Sales Manager to join the team and take accountability for Manawatu – Wanganui, Taranaki and North Wellington regions. In this position you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of Animal Health products across our Livestock and Companion Animal portfolios.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to understand and discuss technical product information to your customers who will be veterinarians and over the counter (OTC) retailers. Your ability to adapt to different customers and personality types will also stand you in good stead for this opportunity. 

This is an excellent opportunity to take accountability for your assigned territory and achieve success through growing your market share. To achieve this you will need to utilise your strategic thinking skills to analysis sales data and implement an effective territory plan to achieve year on year growth. 
 

 

 ABOUT YOU
To be successful as a Territory Sales Manager you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor in a Science or Animal health related discipline
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of sales success, ideally with experience within a technical selling or animal health position
  • Be someone who is comfortable working autonomously in the field
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, adapt to different personality traits and be able to understand and meet your customers’ needs 
  • Have strong commercial acumen with the ability to strategically review sales data and develop and implement a territory plan to achieve strong results
