Te Ara Rangatahi is a small youth organisation based on the aspirations of rangatahi. The vision of Te Ara Rangatahi is to enhance opportunities for rangatahi to succeed. This position allows you to have significant impact on young people's lives, in a meaningful and positive way.

The aim of these roles is to increase rangatahi motivation, inspiration and confidence to undertake education and employment pathways.


Key responsibilities:

- programme coordination

- youth engagement 

- one on one support

- networking and building relationships with local schools/employers and community

- managing an allocated budget

- completing reports and evaluations


What we're looking for:

The Programme Coordinator will be confident running programmes, managing groups and be passionate about supporting rangatahi to succeed. Full drivers licence to transport youth is essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young people gain employment, further studies and attain their dreams. The candidate will be a people person and will be confident connecting with rangatahi and supporting them to achieve their goals. Knowledge of Te Reo Maori and tikanga Māori, or openness to learn is vital. This role is flexible and ever changing to adapt to the needs of the youth.

Some weekend and after hours work may be required.


The organisation is a vibrant, fun and innovative place to work. Based in Waiuku, 45 - 60 minutes from Auckland CBD. The three (3) roles are all Independent Contractor roles, working 30 hours per week.
