Weekend Assignments Assistant

Are you planning a career in journalism?

 

This part time role in the newsroom is a great way to start your career, particularly if you're studying media or journalism. You need to be curious about events and issues,and interested in News and Current Affairs and able to talk to a wide variety of people on the phone, and report information accurately.

 

You will be working with visual media, but you also need to be able to write and spell clearly and accurately. Ideally you'll be comfortable with a wide range of social media, and desktop editing systems.

 

This is a great training role which has been the starting job for a host of successful broadcast journalists and producers.

 

You must be able to commit to working every weekend.
