Facilities Advisor (Fixed-Term)

At the Council we have a vast range of facilities providing services to our community. Our high performing Facilities Management team ensures our facilities meet the needs of our citizens and community.

Our Facilities Advisor is responsible for building maintenance and renewals, day to day reactive repairs and the operational support within our library buildings.

In this role you will control the delivery of reactive maintenance for libraries buildings including minor projects, plant and equipment replacement and practice excellent customer services in order to maintain world class facilities for Christchurch. You will work closely with the contracted maintenance and service providers to ensure the delivery of scheduled works.

To take on this role you will have a degree qualification in building or facilities management or similar, and have wide-ranging experience in either project management/property services/contractor management/maintenance or service contract delivery. Your experience using BMS software and providing repair and maintenance focused facilities management at the coal face (either client or contractor side) will be a huge advantage and you will utilise your proven ability to build relationships together with your confidence and experience in influencing and networking to organise contractors and achieve high quality outcomes.
