About the Role

Barnardos Homebased Service Coordinators have varied and interesting roles, providing high quality administrative support and customer service to home-based Educators, parents, Visiting Teachers and Consultants in Barnardos Home Based service.

Key responsibilities

  • Database management, including data entry, filing, invoicing parents, ensuring all relevant information is accurately and securely maintained
  • Managing information and auditing paperwork and files to ensure compliance with Barnardos and Ministry of Education policies
  • Assisting home-based Educators with account reconciliation and queries
  • Supporting Barnardos Early Learning staff with administration tasks

Skills and Experience

You will be an outstanding, well organised and efficient administrator, excited about making a difference for children.  To successfully undertake this role you will have:

  • Sound experience in an administrative role (ideally in the not-for-profit and/or early childhood sector)
  • Proven planning, time management and organisation skills
  • Exceptional customer service skillsA keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Confidence working with numbers and using accounting software
  • NCEA Level 2 or above (or an equivalent qualification)
  • Competence using Microsoft Office products
