Aircraft Cleaner

This is no ordinary cleaning role. You will be working as part of a dedicated team of individuals who make sure our aircraft are well maintained so that they are safe to fly, but they also look their best, and are comfortable for our customers. It's a very important job. 

Auckland Airport is looking for physically fit and focused individuals with great attention to detail and a passion for playing their part in a team. We are currently accepting applications for positions in our Aircraft Cleaning team. 

Our cleaning teams operate 24/7 and we require a person who is able to work shifts, can meet deadlines, and maintains a high standard in their work, and also in the safety of themselves and others around them. Our workplace is highly regulated, so a high level of comfort with following rules is vital.

The rosters are based on a 6 days on, 3 days off roster pattern, Monday to Sunday, including Public Holidays. The shifts rotate and change constantly and include working weekends and on public holidays. You will be given a variety of start times including morning, day and evening shifts.  You have to be highly flexible and willing to work at any given time. 

Please note that for training purposes you will be required to work 2 weeks of full-time hours during the training period.

Some of the key requirements are listed below:

  • Demonstrate an ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent work record
  • A commitment to Health and Safety
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Resilience while working under pressure
  • A minimum of a restricted drivers licence, a full drivers licence is preferred
