Software Developer - Java

Kiwiplan is going through an exciting program of change, building the next generation of software which will support our customers and help grow our global business even further. The Kiwiplan software is used around the world to run hundreds of factories in the production of cardboard packaging solutions.
 

We are looking for talented Full Stack Java Developers, who have a passion for building awesome solutions to join our team based in East Tamaki.
 

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver software which meets our customers’ needs within the assigned time-frame. This includes:

  • Developing, building and supporting internal tools to help support the teams to deliver the range of products that we offer to our clients.
  • Designing software which fulfils our client’s requirements, while ensuring that the user interaction is simple, attractive and intuitive.
  • Ensuring that the software developed have a minimum number of defects and that the code is easily understood.

About You:

You will have at least 2+ years of expert knowledge working with the Java programming language, platform and development environment. You will also need to have:

  • Experience with  using Java 8, Spring Boot, Maven, SQL.
  • Strong unit testing and object-oriented analysis and design skills.
  • Have a strong problem-solving ability
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment.
  • Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • It is advantageous if you have experience with ReactJS or similar frameworks.
  • Exposure to distributed architecture development (RMI, Web Services etc.) would be advantageous
