Are you a bright and conceptual natural leader with a passion for co-design, user-centred design and design thinking, and able to develop locally-relevant, design-led solutions to key issues in the Far North region?

Do you want to contribute to making a real difference to the lives of those who live in Te Tai Tokerau?

Are you comfortable working in the grey?  Do you have outstanding relationship management skills, and are able to achieve positive disruption whilst holding genuine relationships.

Healthy Families NZ is an innovative, large-scale initiative that brings together community leadership in a united effort for better health.  It is about thinking bigger, activating leadership at all levels, and driving innovation to create health promoting environments where we live, learn, work and play.

This role is not for the fainthearted and it is definitely not a 9-5 desk job! It is a huge opportunity to advance your skills and immerse yourself in a challenging but highly rewarding job.  This position will see you be part of an amazing group of people leading the way for transformational change.

Te Rūnanga O Whaingaroa (TROW) is a Mandated Iwi Organisation in the Māori Fisheries Act 2004, an Iwi Aquaculture Organisation in the Māori Aquaculture claims settlement Act 2004, and represents Ngāpuhi / Ngāti Kahu ki Whaingaroa as an “Iwi authority” for the purposes of the Resource Management Act 1991 and is a registered Charitable Trust based in the mid/far north.  We pride ourselves in being innovative, whanau focussed, well led, and ambitious for our people and we are looking to affect change in the wider environment across the Te Tai Tokerau region.

To help us achieve this we are seeking a professional and innovative individual to accelerate systems change at a local level through ‘connecting the dots’, identifying levers and driving the design of evidence informed prototypes of the Healthy Families Far North initiatives.

This role is based in Kaeo.
