The Opportunity

Your Responsibilities:

This pivotal role enables you to bring in your production proven experience in embedded system design & development to work on creating new and extended existing products alongside the current development team. 

You will require good knowledge of the software development life-cycle, have exceptional problem-solving skills.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering with 5+ years experience

Proven experience in writing real-time applications in embedded C

Working knowledge of RS485/RS232/CAN/ANT+/Bluetooth protocols

Experience in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving

Experience with ARM based architecture and RTOS ideal

Writing software requirements, architecture and test documentation to a high standard

Understanding of software unit testing methodologies and processes

SCM knowledge and experience. e.g Git, SVN, Bitbucket

Experience designing code for Embedded Microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, etc.) in a production environment

Experience with real time debugging tools (software and hardware)

PCB Altium basic working knowledge preferred

Proven experience in scripting language such as Python

Possible failure modes identified, understood and mitigated through DFMA and other techniques

Design according to best practice DFA, DFM and DFT principles and practices

Comfortable taking initiative, team player but also comfortable on their own

Working knowledge of Slack, Jira, MS office tools and understanding of agile based project management

Excellence in technical communication with peers, partners, and non-technical co-workers

Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem solving skills
