The Napier District Masonic Trust is situated at Taradale Masonic Village and has an excellent reputation for providing quality residential aged care and affordable retirement village accommodation.

Looking into the future and expected growth in Residential Aged Care the Trust is establishing a new exciting role to provide clinical oversight of its operations.

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Director of Clinical Services to demonstrate their skills and play an integral role in ensuring the Trust provides highest quality service across all of its business units, now and in the future.


Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Clinical Services will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of care are provided to our residents at both our two aged care facilities, Elmwood House & Hospital and Taradale Masonic Resthome & Hospital.

This is a senior management position and will receive an attractive salary package commensurate with MECA Designated Senior Nurse Grade 5.


The Director of Clinical Services is an integral member of the NDMT senior leadership team and helps shape future services while leading and inspiring a customer friendly, supportive and professional team. The role is responsible for all registered nurses, enrolled nurses, health care assistants and other associated health care providers within NDMT. It provides operational oversight over the NDMT owned aged care facilities.


  • A Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and current practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Post graduate study desirable
  • Extensive Senior Clinical experience, with strong engaging leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of the Aged care sector
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a leadership role at senior management level within the aged care sector
  • Proven track record in leading and driving quality service provision
  • Demonstrated experience and training in the management of quality systems
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations covering delivery of aged care services
  • Knowledge of quality and compliance requirements across all services
