Account Executive

NEC delivers integrated network managed services, advanced biometric identity solutions and innovative products through our world-leading technology, unique and diverse talent, industry partnerships and customer relationships. Our technology enables our customers across both local government and Corporate Enterprise, to enhance the quality, performance and safety of New Zealand.

NEC have recently made a number of changes to their Senior leadership team and along with it, formulated a number of new and exciting strategic initiatives for the team to achieve.

The Account Executive is a core member of the NEC sales team providing sales strategy and overall account directorship to a group of key customers across the public and private sectors. As part of a small but high-achieving sales team, you will leverage your proven success in business development and relationship management, along with a broad remit of solutions and services that NEC have to offer, to help your customers achieve their organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Lead the development of the account strategy for your customer and the development of sales propositions.
  • Own and develop a wide network of relationships with the customer to achieve and exceed revenue targets through selling the entire portfolio of NEC solutions.
  • Leadership and ownership of day to day account activity – including effective qualification and management of RFPs and sales opportunities.
  • Take the lead in setting accurate forecasts, sales opportunities and manage virtual teams to deliver within your client set.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge currency by mentoring and growing customer team members towards a common purpose.
  • Be accountable for delivering against agreed objectives and standards.

About you;

You have considerable Sales and Account Leadership skills within the technology or related industry. You will possess a passion for customer management and exceeding their expectations in everything you do. You will have strong business skills, attention to detail and a flair for marketing and events. With skills in building collaborative relationships and stimulating change, you incorporate continuous improvement methods into your working style – both within our business and with your customers.

  • Proven sales experience in the technology or related sector.
  • A known reputation in the market as a high achieving sales person.
  • Experience in working in virtual and cross-functional teams, ideally on large scale and complex integration projects.
  • Experience in building and nurturing customer relationships, working in partnership with them on their business requirements and solving their issues through innovative technology solutions.
  • A strong business acumen, a customer focused approach that holds integrity and trust in high regard.
