Territory Manager - Upper North Island

We are now seeking an Auckland based Territory Manager to lead the sales and account management functions for the Waikato, Auckland and Northland regions.

Reporting in to the GM of Sales and Marketing, this role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to really stamp their mark on this successful and well regarded business, ensuring it continues to grow and develop. The position will be responsible for overseeing and leading all facets of business development, account management and portfolio growth across this diverse region.

With a parent company that offers fantastic support and market synergies, the role will suit someone who enjoys collaborating at a group level to maximise business development opportunities, whilst proactively sourcing and securing all new local revenue streams autonomously.

To be successful in this role you will be disciplined, balanced, self-motivating and modern business development professional with a strong client focus, who has a demonstrable and successful track record in growing a diverse B2B customer base.

Ideally you will have:

  • Several years' experience in a similarly structured sales and account management role, ideally from within the rural, steel products, construction, or similar industries
  • The aptitude to build genuine and in-depth technical product knowledge, ensuring customer's needs are being accurately met
  • Sufficient local regional knowledge to seamlessly pick up management of existing reseller network
  • A strong sense of resilience, tenacity and the drive to succeed
  • Outstanding all round interpersonal skills and customer interaction style
  • Solid understanding of H&S legislation, processes and safe site management
