Environmental Scientist

The role
Our Wellington office is looking to grow their water and environment team to help meet current and future workload requirements and better service our clients. In this role you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient environmental services for the business unit in accordance with project times and budgets.

Specifically, your duties will include:
  • Hydrological analysis and hydraulic modelling
  • Water quality analysis
  • Environmental monitoring and field work
  • Assessment of environmental effects
  • Environmental investigations and analysis
  • Technical reporting and preparation of proposals
  
About you
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in water and be a confident communicator. Additionally, you
will display:
  • Relevant water resources qualification (preferably with post grad qualification in a relevant field).
  • 2 - 6 years’ experience
  • Basic GIS skills
  • Some understanding of hydrology (preferably in reference to the New Zealand environment) and/or hydraulics
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Analytical/problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to pursue self-development for career advancement
  • Full drivers licence
