Paraplanner

At AdviceFirst, we are here for our clients, their family or their businesses, and we can help by offering financial advice. Whether it’s investment, wealth management, insurance, or KiwiSaver, we have the expertise, people and resources to give people the financial advice that’s needed.

We pride ourselves on being experts, but we won’t use complicated jargon. Instead, we take the time to understand exactly what our clients want, or more importantly what they need. Then we will put forward ideas and make recommendations personalised for them. No off-the-peg, one-size-fits-all, she’ll-be-right.

On offer:

We are seeking a Paraplanner to join our Wellington team that support our high performing team of Advisers. Your role will be to produce high quality personal financial plans that are easy to understand and meet all compliance requirements. While this role is in our Wellington you will be supporting advisers from all over New Zealand.

Each financial plan needs to be personal and unique to the individual client. The ability to analyse a client’s financial position, work alongside an experienced Advisor, and recommend a plan to help them achieve their goals is crucial.

You will be joining a small but buzzing team, within an organisation who has ambitious plans for growth. Our people are people’s people, with a unified passion for helping others realise a better financial future.

What are we looking for?

  • Someone who has excellent written communication skills, accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Someone who has some experience in and understands the Financial services industry.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics or accounting is desirable, but not essential. If you are working your way through your L5 qualification – even better!
  • This is a varied role with deadlines that must be met so time management is crucial
  • We need someone that is analytical & likes the detail, but were also after a living, breathing human who has the ability to adapt to different customers needs.
  • Excellent Word, Outlook, Excel and writing skills are a non-negotiable.
  • You must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
