A Unique Opportunity to Make a Positive Impact on the Sport of Lawn Bowls
We are currently looking for a dynamic, person (preferably with a marketing background) to support Howick, Pakuranga and Buckland’s Beach Lawn Bowling Clubs (the Clubs) to promote and encourage participation of Lawn Bowls in the area.
The role is responsible for developing and implementing tactical marketing strategies and solutions to drive the strategic objectives of the Clubs. Key to this is the promotion of the sport of Lawn Bowls and the co-ordination of a variety of playing opportunities that the clubs provide for individuals, businesses, schools and other organisations to participate in the sport.
This role offers many unique challenges to someone looking to make a positive contribution to the ongoing development and long-term sustainability of Lawn Bowls. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step into a challenging role that brings greater responsibility and sufficient scope to drive change and make a real impact on the sport.
Ideally you will have worked in a non-for-profit sports club environment. You could have experience of developing, implementing and delivering creative solutions on a limited budget. Your possible experience of marketing communications allows you to maximise promotional opportunities through social and other media.
A natural diplomat, you will be enthusiastic and personable, being able to build and maintain strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders. Having excellent communication written and verbal presentation skills is therefore essential to the role.
It would be beneficial if you are from the local area and have a keen interest in sport.
Does this sound like you? If so please Apply Online to register your details or send a copy of your CV along with a covering letter to Steve Clifton, firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications close at 5.00 pm on Friday 14th September 2018.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand
Note: This is currently a fixed term contract but has the potential to become a permanent role after the contract period.
