SALES / ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - Great long term Career Development Role

  • Motivated Account Manager for West Auckland Wholesale to Retail market supplier
  • Nurture the on-going relationships with repeat customers & grow revenue
  • Look after Internal Sales & over time develop into a Field Based Sales position

With unique product ranges and on-trend retail merchandise, our client has been supplying New Zealand’s Retail and Promotional Goods industry with quality and innovative products for over 50 years. Sold through large Retailers, through to Souvenir shops, Giftware, Party Suppliers, Arts and Crafts stores, they boast a huge range of imported products, and have become suppliers of choice to many of their customers.

Over the years very strong relationships have been developed and repeat business is the norm. In fact, their customers rely on them to bring new and exciting products to the market, knowing that they will be top performers and will fly off the shelves.

On their behalf, we are seeking a motivated and upbeat sales person to nurture the on-going relationships with these repeat customers. With regular contact, you will build great customer relationships, so that you can introduce them to new products, with the ultimate gain of increasing their business purchasing.

This role will initially be an Internal Sales role, with some customer visits,  but over time, it will develop into a field-based sales role. 

What you need to bring:

  • Fantastic phone communication and relationship building skills
  • Previous Sales or Internal Account Management /Sales experience
  • Motivation and desire to achieve. Someone who is not satisfied by average
  • Proactive working habits. Enthusiasm and positivity.
  • Takes ownership of client relationships, giving great service and brilliant follow up.
  • Seeks to understand their customers and their buying habits and knows what to promote to them.
  • Thinks outside the square. Uses Initiative
  • Good administration and systems skills
  • Happily, adds value to the team
  • A long-term commitment to develop in your Sales career

You will have great listening skills with an upbeat communication style that your customers enjoy and welcome your calls.
