The quality of our expertise, service and reliability has resulted in us enjoying rapid and continual company growth and with an increasing workload across the Auckland region, we are urgently seeking a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of a range of specialist equipment to and from construction sites around the Metro Auckland area. You will also assist in general labouring/helping out on site as required. General yard duties are also included.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 5 trucks in New Zealand.
Have a current forklift licence - preferred but not essential
Have a good understanding of health and safety particularly on construction sites
Have some knowledge of fleet maintenance
Experience with HIAB is preferred but not essential
Have good knowledge of the local area
Be available for early starts and some Saturday work
Enjoy working in a busy environment
Demonstrate that you can work effectively either in a team or on your own.
As we take health and safety seriously we have a drug and alcohol policy and you will be required to undergo and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
