Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician

Pathlab Waikato is part of a group of local Pathologist owned laboratories.  We are quality and people focused, helping in excess of 2,000 patients per day throughout the Waikato region. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the specimen processing team based in Central Hamilton. Our team have responsibility for the pre-analytical processing of specimens prior to laboratory analysis.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task for this as some high volume data entry is required. If your application is successful you will be invited to complete a short data entry test, with a minimum typing speed requirement of 55 words per minute. Customer service skills and a high attention to detail with a focus on quality are essential.

You may be registered with the NZ Medical Council with a QSST, QMLT or higher qualification. If not, training will be provided to obtain the relevant qualification and the required NZ registration. Previous medical laboratory experience will be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.

This position is full-time, with the majority of rostered shifts being in the afternoon and evenings. The applicant will also need to be available to work weekend shifts.
