Tamariki Ora Nurse

Whai Maia is the tribal development arm for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.  We are a diverse business which encompasses education and learning, careers and employment, housing, health and wellbeing, tourism and heritage, and environmental and resource management areas.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Auckland area of Tamaki. The Tamariki Ora Nurse will provide family/whanau-based health care to children and their whanau from birth to 5 years. You will achieve identified national targets as out lined in the “The Well Child Framework”, as well as working alongside clinical/community staff to ensure that we provide the best possible health care to the community.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed or be prepared to complete the Well Child Tamariki Ora Postgraduate Certificate
  • A current NZ Drivers Licence.
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Maori/tikanga
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
