Our Company

The Fletcher company history can be traced back to 1909, when a young James Fletcher built a timber weatherboard house in Dunedin, New Zealand. Since 1909 the Fletcher group of companies has grown in various forms, culminating in the 2001 listing of Fletcher Building Ltd on the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges (NZX and ASX).

Our businesses operate across broad and diverse sectors of the building industry. Our people belong to a market leading company with strong values shaped by our rich history. We share a culture that encourages people to work together, help each other succeed and achieve excellence through continuous improvement and innovation. We aim to attract and retain top talent across our group, developing a strong internal pipeline of future leaders through tailored management training programs.

From providing interior solutions for KFC's China restaurants, to constructing New Zealand's largest sporting stadium; Fletcher Building businesses have many interesting stories.

Sustainability

Sustainability is fundamental in the operations of all Fletcher Building businesses. Our environmental approach goes beyond minimising the impact of manufacturing and distribution, to encompass the rejuvenation of natural environments and the sustainable design, build and performance of key construction projects. We seek to lead the building and construction industries toward a more sustainable future.

Equally important to us is ensuring diversity within our workforce, providing safe workplaces and encouraging community participation and support.
