Chorus is New Zealand's largest communications infrastructure provider. We're bringing New Zealand better broadband by maintaining and building a network predominantly made up of local telephone exchanges, cabinets and copper and fibre cables. Around 1.8 million lines are connected to homes and businesses throughout the country.
We operate an open access network working with many different phone and broadband retail providers to help connect their customers to the world.
We're mid-way through laying 20,000km of fibre optic cable and ducting to make Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) available to rural communities and more than 830,000 homes and businesses across New Zealand. We work with Crown Fibre Holdings to identify priority users and ensure the eight-year deployment rollout continues as planned.
For the very latest insights and information about the business of broadband, visit our Gigabites website – it's a fact-based forum designed to facilitate discussion on where better broadband might take us, and what it could mean for New Zealand.
If you'd like to be part of the broadband action in New Zealand, view our current vacancies or check out our website on www.chorus.co.nz. You'll work in a highly engaged team, alongside dedicated no-nonsense people with high expectations and a collaborative work ethic. You'll be challenged to make Chorus the best place you've ever worked - we'll want you to add to, but not necessarily be the same as, our strong Chorus culture.
Chorus has been recognised as the Best of the Best Employers in Australasia - out of almost 150 companies - in the Aon Hewitt Best Employer accreditation, the most credible study of its kind in Australia and New Zealand. This is our fourth consecutive accreditation as an Aon Hewitt Best Employer, and first as Best of the Best. And we're really proud of that.
